Ryan is the best realtor that have been helping me! He’s very professional, responsible and responsive on his job. He protects all of client’s interests and priorities as much as he does! Bought our first home and had Ryan as our agent and he did an excellent job in finding the right house in the right location for our family. We had a flood happen after a pipe burst in our house rendering us without a place to live. We were told we would have to be out of the house for about 6 months. After contacting Ryan he immediately had options for us to choose from. He was incredibly quick, professional and reliable. Considering the climate he was able to secure accommodations that allowed our family to find a beautiful temporary home. He was able to help us when we were in a very tough spot. A few months ago, February 2018. My fiancé and I had the opportunity to work with Ryan on our search, and eventual purchase of a condo in downtown Toronto. My Fiancé discovered Ryan’s services through a website and arranged to have a meet and greet somewhere downtown. From the first meeting, Ryan was very professional and very warm; he focused on the needs and wants that were specific to us as opposed to the listings and available options. He started by asking about our backgrounds, and as luck would have it, we both have a background in finance. He stressed the importance for him to understand our level of comprehension when it comes to home ownership and home financing to ensure he provides the most personal advice to us. Ryan is a very relaxed and proficient agent – he took us through some materials on ownership and asked insightful questions on what our non-negotiable characteristics were. We were set on living inside the Bloor-Barthust-Jarvis rectangle and a budget that did not exceed $425K (a tight budget for downtown Toronto)- a bit of background, Ryan was willing to help us determine our budget; however, we had already set that budget for ourselves and had financing request in one of the Banks. We felt really good about his expertise that we committed verbally to sign the representation agreement. That night he sent it over electronically for both of us to sign. Before we even signed, he did some homework and had a few spots that met our criteria that he was willing to show. As we were busy the next, we scheduled the viewings the day after (Valentine’s Day)! With my fiancé at work outside of town, Ryan and I set out for the first viewing at lunch – I had to go back to work for the afternoon, so we reunite at 5.30pm- from there we went for a viewing on the west side of town, on Bay Street and lastly one in Cabbage town. Ryan advised strategic patience and emphasized the need to buy the right unit, but when I saw the last unit, I knew we had the right spot. To add to the excitement; the listing was closing that night at midnight; at 8.30pm we were done with the first visit, and I spoke with my fiancé to discuss the unit. My Fiancé was in agreement to make a go for it despite the competitive situation and short timeline. From this point, Ryan’s expertise was invaluable; he arranged to meet the selling agent that night to buy some time to discuss an offer. We sat in his car while he typed the offer and advised on what to offer in dollars and what to ask for in conditions to protect ourselves and ensure full disclosure on the part of the Condo finances. He finished the offer and sent it to my fiancé to sign. He went in to present the proposal to the previous owner on and after all of that was done he submitted the Offer about ~ 11.00pm. This still being Valentine’s Day, we both went home to try to catch up! About 12.30am the same night, we got a phone call that our offer has been accepted!! Needless to say THE BEST VALENTINE’S DAY GIFT. The next day the offer was signed, and we gave the deposit cheque (DRAFT) to Ryan. Ryan was kind to introduce us to a solicitor that eventually closed the deal for us. Ryan was proactive in talking to our Banker relating to the funding and closing and when it was time for moving in -2 months later on May 1st – He left a nice bottle of champagne and a basket of goodies to welcome us to the new home (THANK YOU RYAN!!). I would recommend that you speak with Ryan at any stage of the buying process; He will make your life easier as he did ours!
